Once Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are over, the streets of Jerusalem fill with sukkot (temporary huts) and stands selling palm leaves, myrtle, willows and etrogs, sometimes known in English as citrons for people to choose from and build their own lulav and etrog sets. These items are delicate and must be handled with the utmost care, selecting only the best to beautify the mitzvah.

During the Sukkot services, we hold the lulav in one hand and the etrog in the other. Since, if there should be any gashes, bruising, or a break in the pitom (a natural growth of the fruit) the etrog is no longer kosher to use, many people keep them safe in boxes, which also demonstrate how beloved they are—an important lesson when raising Jewish children.

These boxes are perfect for the season, but are so lovely anyone would be buzzing all year in advance of using it, no matter if it's given for a Bar Mitzvah, an anniversary, or even a present for any other holiday.
